⚖️ Balancing Life and Style with Movement and Clarity ⚖️ |

🤔 Clear the Head - Trust the Body 🤷🏽 |
|
For many, summer is the time to get away. Vacations help clear the head and give us permission to explore, relax, and “go with the flow”. This mindset emphasizes adaptability, acceptance, and a relaxed approach to life’s inevitable changes.
Moving the body and adding gestures when we speak is a way to clear the head, too. Trusting and using the body are not merely ‘add-ons’ to verbal communication, but powerful tools that shape how a message is received, understood, and felt by an audience. |

😲 📰 LIFE & STYLE Magazine features Elaine A. Clark 📰 😲 |
|
| “Not every communication book dares to suggest that a person’s history lives in their posture or that the most powerful message may already be embedded in muscle memory. That is the premise of Elaine A. Clark’s upcoming release, Speak to Achieve: How to Build Connection, Deepen Trust, Captivate Audiences, and Achieve Results. This compelling guide blends voice, body, and emotion to help individuals truly connect, representing the culmination of four decades spent coaching, performing, and innovating in the art of communication. Speak to Achieve is scheduled for release in September 2025 and is currently available for preorder.” |

🗣️🎙️ PHYSICALITY IN VOICE ACTING 🗣️🎙️ |
|
On a recent trip to Canada, I had the unique experience of presenting an in-person workshop at the Get Mic’d Ultimate Voice-Over Survivor Retreat. What the 40+ students in attendance and on Zoom experienced is that Physicality in Voice Acting is all about SPECIFICITY… not just randomly moving for the sake of adding movement. This was a fast paced workshop that was fun and purposeful. I thank Deb Munro and Elley-Ray for the opportunity to work with this amazing group. |

Here is one of many emails I received after the event: “I was blown away by the instruction I received at the recent UVOS retreat in Canada. Thank you for opening my eyes to the impact our physical world can have on our reads! I've taken Laban training before, but this was a whole different beast. I'll be singing your praises and sharing your links everywhere I can.” - Paul

As many of you know, I have cast, directed, performed, produced, and engineered over 100 video games. As a master character acting coach, it’s always a pleasure teaching Characters 1 & Characters 2 classes on Zoom for BRAVA.uk and directing the in-person class, Step into Video Games. This was my third experience teaching in Bristol, so this time… I decided to write an original Film Noir script based on that historic city in 1954. In this intensive 1-day class, we cast, rehearsed, and recorded 12 actors reading an assortment of character roles. After my return across the pond to the San Francisco Bay Area, I took the audio files back to my studio and mixed them. The video you see features the mixed audio recording of my original script, Angels in Bristol recorded by this talented group of British actors. I couldn’t be more proud of the script, their performances, and the final mixed recording! Thank you, Melissa Thom for providing all of us this opportunity. I encourage you to indulge yourself, take a listen, and immerse yourself in this audio experience. |
